About Me
I am Tricia – the owner of Chocolate Musings. Home Loan Processor by day, a mom of 3, a wife, cook, maid, taxi driver, etc., the rest of the time. I like to think I have a little superhero in my blood. I like quotes and purple. Doodling, writing, organizing, collecting fonts, and planning occupy most of my downtime. Sometimes I plan more than I ‘do.’
Diet Dr. Pepper is my nemesis and my craving. The cool spring nights and crisp fall days call my name like a lark in the trees. My favorite scene is through the green of leaves just after a hard rain.
Why Chocolate Musings?
For over a decade my inner muse sat silently in the shadows because I pushed her away. For 12 years, I didn’t touch a paintbrush, write, or do many creative things. I happened on bullet journaling as a means to keep track of my few appointments, and it reignited the passion for art, drawing, painting, and organizing that was hiding deep down inside. Bullet journaling was essentially the catalyst to create this blog in hopes of sharing my muse and help others find their inner muse and set her free.
My Objective
My purpose is to help you ‘discover your inner muse.’ Sometimes it’s sweet, sometimes bitter, but like good chocolate, everything here is 100% natural, nothing artificial.
What is “Chocolate Musings”?
Seeking the sweet in a world full of bitter. A collection of thoughts and actions that build a joyful life. Helping others along the way to discover their inner muse.
At the end of the day, when you sneak into your secret chocolate hideaway and raid your stash of good chocolate, then muse about your day, what do you think about? These are my chocolate musings.
I want to empower anyone who feels like they “can’t.” I have felt like I “can’t” for a very long time. Anyone who has said, ‘I am not good enough, not talented enough, or I don’t have enough wisdom or experience for any given subject. Comparison is the thief of Joy – and my goal is to live joyfully. Enough comparing, enough hiding.
Raising a Future Generation
By realizing my follies, I can help my children realize their dreams and be free to do what they want to do in this existence. I figure the best way to show them that they can do anything they set their heart to – is for me to show them how I do it too. Whether or not anyone reads my content, I am putting it out there as a way to be accountable for my whole life improvement.
My Invitation to You
My invitation to you: share your own ‘chocolate musings’ and start living life more fully than you may have done yesterday. I want this to be a safe place to grow, no matter where you begin. Bullying, trolling, or negative comments will not be tolerated. Positive reinforcement and gentle suggestions will be readily accepted. Just like the famous quote from Thumper, “If you can’t say nothing nice, don’t say nothing at all.”
