Pirate Map Weekly Layout – ‘X’ Marks the Weekend!

We celebrate a random holiday. We started celebrating it before we found out that Krispy Kremes celebrates it too – with free doughnuts. Now we just celebrate more. Pirate costumes and swarthy accents are a staple at our house. I have to admit, the kids have now outgrown their pirate costumes, so we need to get our act together and get new costumes, because… International Talk Like a Pirate Day is September 19! I had to make my week pirate themed in my bullet journal in honor of such a great day. Bring on the silly puns, the tri-corn hats, […]

Random Thoughts and Great Ideas Collection

If you are like me, there are a lot of thoughts bouncing around inside your head all day long. Some of them are pretty creative. Few are deep. Some are reflections of the past or regrets. Others are just random, funny thoughts. I wouldn’t mind keeping those around once in a while to distract from the crazy of life. Most thoughts are fleeting, but others I would like to develop and see if something bigger will come of these individual thought nuggets. I had never organized these golden idea droplets into a common space, they were all haphazardly written in […]

Creating My Own Awnings

I was working on a scrapbook page (I digital scrapbook, used to do the other way, but long switched since my pictures are all digital… I can scale them… I can scale elements and use the elements over and over again… but that is a different time, a different story). I was working on a scrapbook page for June of 2012 where we went to Rita’s Italian Ice and my nearly 3-year-old was feeding my 9-month old some tasty treats. I thought it would be a brilliant idea to use a red and white striped awning like they have at […]

Fortunate Business Interests

Got this fortune today in a cookie I gave my 3-year-old: I told my 3-year old that it meant he had to go potty immediately and not wait until he was dancing around. It was the only business interests I figured he had. He took me seriously. When we got home he talked and talked about his fortune in the cookie and how he needed to make sure that he went potty better. My husband is turning 40 on Monday. He said that his fortune cookie made a mockery of his age. I thought it was brilliant. Mine was also […]
